Thanks to Bandai Namco for providing a digital copy for review. The Tales series is overall is excellent and this game is well worth checking out. There is a big epic journey with an interesting story to explore. If you like JRPGs and action RPGs, then you might like this game too.

Overall, Tales of Symphonia is a good game. There is also some voice acting, but the game isn’t fully voice acted, which is a shame. The game hasn’t aged as bad as many PlayStation 1 classics, but its obvious that Tales of Symphonia isn’t a modern game. However, the world’s backgrounds don’t look as good as the characters. The characters in Tales of Symphonia look really nice. Unfortunately, the game’s graphics are a mixed bag. Outside of the boss battles, God of War III delivers some of the most brutal combat on the PS3, ensuring its many battles feel satisfying until the very end. If you enjoy old school RPGs, then you’ll likely enjoy Tales’ gameplay. Out of battle, there are some old school puzzles and town visiting. You can give them some commands but otherwise have to hope they back you up. Meanwhile, the action battle system is Tales of Symphonia is pretty basic: you control one character, while the others are controlled via the computer A.I. The story is interesting and full of some neat twists. Lloyd, Genus, and two other characters go on the journey with her to save the world.

Colleen is “the chosen one”, the person who will save the world and has to go on a journey to do so. The story features three kids: Lloyd, Colleen, and Genus. Tales of Symphonia is an action-RPG that first appeared on the Nintendo GameCube. How does the game hold up on the PlayStation 4? Let’s find out in our review of Tales of Symphonia Remastered!
